Reminder, keep praying! No matter what is happening around you. You can cry to God. Praise him for all the good. Ask him how we know he is real. Use the Bible and what you know about God to help you connect with him. Pray “Lord meet me where I am” and know he meets you right there!
When I talk about prayer I remember the stories of David. Psalms 22, David is mad at God, questioning God, and Praising God all in one prayer. He is a great example of the rrrrrrrs only three lol. The rrrs like a pirate stand for
Reals: Have no filter when you talk to God. He can take what you have to say.
Remember: God's truths and promise to us, his people. Remember God is a faithful father forever.
Recommit: Though you might doubt and have questions return to God and reaffirm your faith.
Keep reading the Bible and praying. Even Jesus prayed in his hard times, he was in the garden knowing he was gonna die like the story we will hear this Friday, good Friday. But Jesus prayed and cried out; he said "your will be done but save me from death if you can". In the end, he thanked God for his goodness, recommitted his faith and went on his way to die. Use these two wonderful people and the rrrs as an example and pray.
Praying isn't only a good connection with god it releases stress, fear, anger. Know that God cares for you and knows your name and has a plan for you as he says in Jeremiah 29:11. Prayer is an opportunity to be known and heard.
The world can be a hard evil world full of death and anger. The world can be full of questions without answers, the world is broken and God hates the broken as much as we do. But prayer can help bring clarity and peace with God in the brokenness.
How are you gonna pray today? What do you need to say to God?
