Surrendering All to Jesus

Before I start this devo I encourage you to pray and read these verses.
James 4:10
10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
Matthew 6:33
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Proverbs 23:26
26 My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways,
Psalm 46:10
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
I wanted to start off today's devos with verses about giving everything to God. I know that it is easier said than done, but I have been convicted recently to give everything to God. One of my friends was telling me about her mission trip and how she surrendered everything to God, not just the parts she wants him to see. She was explaining how God can not transform you completely and help you completely when you don't let him in completely. This made me start to think, and I hope you start to think. What are areas in your life you are not letting God have full control? What is stopping you from opening your heart fully to God? But then as I was talking to my friend she went further, that God meets you where you are and you don't have to be perfect because we are all growing. This gave me hope that I don't have to be this perfect Christian. I can have doubts and questions. As Long as I am fully opened, surrendered, and ready to learn from God. So before I close I want you to not think you are a bad Christian but encourage you to surrender completely to God, but give yourself grace to grow.
And as you end your time with God listen to this song and reflect on what I just shared.
