The Blessing of a Burden

I hope when you look at this title, it gives you a little confusion. I was driving over to a buddy’s house thinking about what I was gonna write about for this devo and I had a thought: how can the things we bear become burdens?
For starters, the Word says to bear our own cross. I think it’s important to remember the cross, though it is now a simple of redemption to those who believe, it was Christ’s burden that he had to bear, and we are told to do the same.
There’s nothing that we would be commanded to do by the Lord that won’t put us through anything that isn’t meant to benefit those who believe in and follow the Lord as Romans 8:28 suggests. Therefore, we see some of our biggest struggles, the things we must bear, our cross, is a blessing though it’s a burden.
One of the main points that I wanted to make with this message is what Galatians 6:2 says:
Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
When we think about what ways burdens can be blessings, let’s think of others. To carry another’s burden is to fulfill the law of Christ’s and to follow his teaching. Seek those around you who are carrying heavy burdens and try to bless their days by taking a brick or two.
Brick by brick, especially in this time of weariness and worry, we can bless one another in incredible ways and show the love of God to those who need it.
