The God of Understanding

Hebrews 4:14-16

“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

I think that we often feel as though God doesn’t quite understand what we go through. God is so high and mighty, how can he truly look at how we fail and understand.

Yet God does understand our weaknesses, he sees them clearly and he understands that we are vulnerable. God is not shocked when we fail, he is not taken aback by our weaknesses. God sees and understands.

God extends enormous amounts of grace and forgiveness toward his children because he understands that we aren’t able to do it on our own. He knows. Don’t be afraid to approach our God because you think you haven’t been strong enough or that your weaknesses would drive him away.

Approach God today in confidence. He sees you just the way you are and has grace for every part of you that falls short.
