Listen For God
May 18, 2020
Today, instead of reading what we have to say, listen to what God has to say. Set a timer on your phone for maybe five minutes, or ten or however many you feel that you need, and then set your phone aside and just listen. Ask God to speak to you. For the majority of people, God doesn't come in a loud, booming voice. 1 Kings 19:11-12 says "The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by. Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper." In this instance, God did speak to Elijah in a whisper, but God can use all sorts of things to speak to His disciples. Listen for what God has to say to you today.
