"Love does not easily anger"
When I think about when I was a kid, I remember how I would do things that were incredibly frustrating. Bug my mom when she was on the phone with a client. Leave plates all over the kitchen from lunch and breakfast. Pester my dad about him taking me to the store to get a new video game. I remember that there were even moments where I would do things that, looking back, should have made them super angry, yet they weren’t.
What got my parents to get themselves out of bed at 3 in the morning when I was an infant and come into my room and shower me with care and affection was entirely love.
God encourages us to be slow to anger and instead respond with love and patience.
Sometimes people screw up and we have the choice. Get angry with them, or respond with empathy and love.
